Applepuncture COVID-19 Safety Protocols

In-Person Visit Pre-Screening

Applepuncture will ask any patient scheduling an in-person visit a list of COVID-related questions to determine whether an in-person visit is advisable at this time. If an in-person visit is not appropriate, please see information below about Applepuncture's Telehealth Services and what you can expect from a Telemedicine appointment.

Upon Arrival to Your In-Person Visit

Applepuncture will greet you at your car and check your temperature with a laser, non-touch thermometer. If your temperature is above 99.5 degrees F, you will be advised to return home, to limit contact with other people, and to watch your symptoms over the next 2-3 weeks. Applepuncture can offer you continued care via Telemedicine. If your temperature is below 99.5 degrees F, your acupuncturist will guide you into the office.  The office is locked to walk-ins at this time.

You will be required to wear a mask to your in-person visits.  If you have questions or concerns, please contact Applepuncture. Your acupuncturist will wear a mask, scrubs, and jacket.

Your acupuncturist will guide you to your treatment room. Treatment rooms will be disinfected with CaviCide between patients.  Table paper will be used on the table, and disposable drapes will be used instead of sheets and blankets.  Pillows will be kept in vinyl cases that will be disinfected. HEPA air purifiers and heaters will be stationed in treatment rooms as well.

Applepuncture's Telehealth Services have been developed to provide:

  • Continuity of Care if you need to further pursue treatment between office visits or can't come to the office for an in-person visit.

  • Maintenance and Preventative Treatment if you would like to sustain what we achieved during your in-person treatment series and to prevent dis-ease from developing.

  • First-time Treatment of new primary and secondary complaints if you are unable to visit in-person for Acupuncture or prefer one of the virtual Telehealth Services

The Telehealth Services work to free the flow of Qi and Blood in the body. When that free flow of Qi is accomplished, the body heals itself quite well. This is also the way Acupuncture heals the body. While the Telehealth practices may look different, they ultimately are all based on the same principles and, when done properly, achieve the same result: the free flow of Qi and Blood through the meridians.

Telehealth Services:

  • Acupressure

  • Herbal Consult

  • Medical Qi Gong

  • Private Guided Meditation

  • Nutritional/Lifestyle Counseling

  • Cupping/Gua Sha Consult

  • 15-Minute Wellness Check-in
