Release the idea of the world as given, and yet choose to remain within it.
Rebel against systems, especially against the tyranny of fixed Being.
Move through and outside of the inherited architecture of identity, meaning, and form— To become.
This world is my love— and I’ll never tire or become complacent and fossilized.
Break from coherence
For the Mystery—
in eros, in rupture, in that which cannot be contained
in name or logic.
Reclaim the right to fragment or be fragmented.
Burn with contradiction.
We are never whole selves.
We are thresholds.
Rebel the idea of throne and become a clearing for us all.
There are moments in life when staying within the lines {you’ve created} no longer feels like integrity {within oneself}. We then must step outside of or break through the cage of lines drawn. So it goes with Existence Itself, which much continually disintegrate as it presents. These moments are creative breakdowns— thresholds.
In French philosophy, rebellion is not just a political act—it is metaphysical. It is a stance toward reality itself. Albert Camus called this metaphysical rebellion—a refusal to accept the absurdity of the world as it is, and yet, instead of retreating into nihilism or escapism, the rebel affirms life by saying: This is not enough, and still, I will create. I remain.
Camus wrote:
“Metaphysical rebellion is the movement by which man protests against his condition and against the whole of creation.”
It’s the sacred “no” that makes space for a more honest “yes.”
Often times, we are caught up in something self-created— something that once made sense or served a very real purpose. But now that something is hindering the evolution that wants to take place. We might be threatened by the inklings of rebellion we feel within ourselves toward our own constructs. We might not want to rock our own boat.
Gilles Deleuze spoke of rebellion as becoming—as lines of flight from the rigid forms we’ve outgrown. He reminds us that we are never static beings but unfolding potentials. Metaphysical rebellion is the joyful liberation into becoming ever more ourselves.
There is something deeply healing about this.
It’s what happens when we release a blockage/Qi Stagnation and truth rushes in.
If you are feeling the urge to be a rebel—dare to look to where there is longing in you. And follow it.
